Closing out this week of Second Chance LIVE with none other than Lamar Sally! A big thank you to Lamar for joining us today!
Lamar and I talked about:
???? How Lamar transitioned from sports to being in a creative industry
????Using the skills Lamar gained from being an athlete to succeed in a creative industry
???? Facing discrimination
???? How Lamar finally confirmed I’m a better athlete than my father lol! Just Kidding!
Meet Lamar:
????Lamar Sally grew up in Detroit, Michigan where he excelled as an athlete and earned a football scholarship to Central Michigan University. He had a brief stint playing in the NFL for the New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons. While attending graduate school a professor liked his work and sent his script to a producer friend which earned him a screenplay option. Since coming to Hollywood Lamar has won every major writing fellowship; The Bill Cosby Writing Program, Nickelodeon Writing Program, and the prestigious ABC/Disney Writing Fellowship. He has been a staff writer on the ABC sitcom “Rodney”, wrote and executive produced “The View’s” Sherri Shepherd’s comedy special for Epix titled “It’s My Turn To Talk!” and sold a half hour comedy to HBO.

Meet Darryll:

???? Darryll Stinson, founder of Second Chance Athletes, is a former Division 1 athlete, TEDx speaker, author, and suicide survivor. He helps athletes and entrepreneurs shed their past stories and create multiple streams of income that align with their highest purpose – so that they can impact more lives and build a lasting legacy.
