Meet Dr. Phillip Adler:
📍Dr. Adler is currently the Operations Manager for the Spectrum Health Sports Medicine Program in Grand Rapids, MI as well as Adjunct Instructor – Allied Health for Davenport University. He was the Head Athletic Trainer of Football for Central Michigan University between 2004 and 2011. Prior to this position he served as an outreach athletic trainer for both Mt. Pleasant and Beal City Schools. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training and Master of Arts in Sport Administration from Central Michigan University. Adler obtained his Doctorate in Education from Capella University in 2017. Adler’s dissertation focused on the importance of the athletic health care team for urban secondary schools and keeping athletes engaged in their injury rehabilitation process to prevent both academic and interscholastic athletic disengagement.
